Alasdair and Gordon Stevenson have a lot in common: They are brothers, they share more than 20 years of experience in the spirits industry , they are passionate whisky connoisseurs – and they are giving blended whisky a new voice . As Turntable Blending House, the Scots now play to the sound of their own beat. This is determined by one conviction: blended whisky is deeply underrated.
Blending opens up endless possibilities for innovation and taste development . Turntable combines the best of both worlds - the attention to detail, transparency and origin of single malt with the scope for creativity and flavors of blended whisky. The goal? To compose a harmonious mix that breaks with expectations.
The wood makes the music: Excellent barrels from all over the world therefore form the core repertoire of Turntable. Alasdair and Gordon are now bringing the first three bottlings from the barrel warehouse built up over the years to curious connoisseurs - limited, with 46% vol. and neither chill-filtered nor colored. Track 1: Joy. Discovery. Invention. is a lively, summery blended Scotch with lush notes of tropical fruits. With Caol Ila single malt as the main ingredient, Track 2: Firestarter is aimed at fans of maritime campfires and marshmallows melting in them. Matured exclusively in sherry casks, Track 3: Purple Haze offers a full-bodied experience of berries, dark chocolate, caramel and cinnamon.
