Scarabus; The mystical single malt from the legendary whisky region of Islay.

Scarabus is an Islay single malt that has something mystical about it: With the slogan "Only those who seek will find" and the hidden and ambiguous symbols and messages on the label, it appeals to all those who are always looking for something new, have an eye for detail and want to rediscover whisky. The name was chosen to match this: Scarabus.
The unusual name comes from Old Norse, dates back to the 13th century and is best translated as "rocky place". The name has been associated with Islay for centuries: at the beginning of the 19th century there was a farm distillery on Islay called Scarrabus, which produced whisky there from 1817 to 1818. Little is known about the distillery to this day, it was probably located in the north of Islay near the current Scarrabus farm.

“Islay is a mysterious island, offering us rare gifts from nature. “Here, at the heart of the island, our unique form of alchemy fuses craft and cask with time, sea and air.”
