Daftmill is a small, independent whisky distillery in the heart of Fife, Scotland, known for its exclusive and high-quality single malt whiskies. Run by the Cuthbert family, who have been working on the same farm for over six generations, Daftmill combines a passion for farming with the art of whisky distilling.
Tradition and craftsmanship
Daftmill was founded in 2005, although the licence to produce whisky was granted in 2003. The distillery uses only barley grown on its own farm, making it one of the few farm-to-bottle whisky distilleries in Scotland. This self-sufficiency allows a rare level of control over every step of the production process, from sowing to distillation.
Exclusive production
Daftmill is known for its low production volume, which ensures the exclusivity and quality of its whiskies. The distillery only produces whisky during the winter and summer months, focusing on farming during the remaining months. This results in an annual production of only around 100 casks, which makes Daftmill's bottlings particularly sought after.
Product offers
Daftmill releases its whiskies in limited editions that often quickly become collector's items. Their single malts are known for their balance and depth with notes of citrus, vanilla and spice, making them an excellent choice for connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
