Untouched nature, sleepy cottages next to cozy pubs and tea rooms - the Cotswolds region is considered one of the most beautiful in England. Since 2014, the Cotswolds Distillery has been producing one of the few English whiskies here and has been largely inspired by its surroundings: Breathtaking landscapes and dreamy villages meet craftsmanship and a feeling for special taste. The barley for the fruity whisky comes from local farmers, the water comes directly from the village.
During numerous weekend trips with his family, Daniel Szor fell in love with the Cotswolds and founded the region's first distillery in 2014, in the small village of Shipston-on-Stour. When distilling the whisky, head distiller Nickolas Franchino takes particular care to separate the foreshots and tails from the "heart" to create a fresh and light distillate. This is then matured in bourbon and red wine barrels. While the whisky was still maturing in the barrels, the Cotswolds Distillery had already made a name for itself in recent years with its award-winning dry gin.
Other products from the distillery are characterized by their creativity - including an Espresso Martini from the bottle and
