The Loch Gorm Limited Edition 2023 was matured in 22 Oloroso sherry butts from the renowned Bodega José y Miguel Martín, from which Glenfarclas also sources its famous sherry casks. The exceptionally intense sherry aromas from the full maturation of the bodega's casks give the whisky a full-bodied and fruity character that combines wonderfully with the classic Kilchoman peat smoke and citrus aromas. Anthony Wills and Robin Bignal have selected a total of 22 casks for the 2023 edition. Eight of these casks were distilled in 2013, six in 2014 and eight in 2015.
