Title

Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 46% | Not chill-filtered | No coloring
Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is uniquely Irish. Distillates in this category are produced in a single distillery that distills a mashbill of malted and unmalted barley together in traditional copper stills.
The Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is composed of seven to ten year old ingredients. Matured in bourbon and sherry casks, it combines green apple with baking spices, barley and toasted oak and is not chill-filtered despite its 40% ABV.
For their fruity and spicy Green Spot Château Léoville Barton, the Mitchell family opens another barrel: maturation in Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry Casks is followed by a finish in a French Bordeaux barrel. The result was the first single pot still Irish whiskey with this type of maturation in 2015.
The complex Green Spot Château Montelena is the second edition of the wine series. It is refined for twelve months in Zinfandel wine barrels from the renowned Napa Valley winery and combines sweet vanilla and orchard fruits with dark fruits and oak spice.
The Yellow Spot 12 yo matures in a trio of casks. Bourbon casks, sherry butts and Malaga casks create a complex interplay of cloves and pepper, peach and honey, which unfolds at the ideal drinking strength of 46% vol.
Description
Spot Whiskey has its roots in the Dublin delicatessen Mitchell & Son. Since 1887, the family business has been a "bonder" of distillates from the Jameson Distillery (now Midleton) in a variety of barrels to create unique pieces of Irish whiskey. As soon as the single pot still whiskey reached the perfect age, the barrels were marked with a spot of color.Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is uniquely Irish.
