Redbreast 12 yo Cask Strength 57,2%
Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 57.2% | Not chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
The Redbreast whiskeys are venerable representatives of the traditional single pot still Irish whiskeys. Neither a blend nor a single malt, distillates from this complex Irish category are produced in a single distillery from malted and unmalted barley, distilled in a traditional copper still. As is typical for the Irish style, the Midleton Distillery also sends its vapors through the pot still three times. The result: the wonderfully mild, aromatic Redbreast raw spirit.
Extensively matured in bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts, the Redbreast 12 yo is characterized by an unmistakable sherry flavor and a spicy, fruity character. This is particularly intense in the Redbreast 12 yo Cask Strength. At 57.2% vol. it unfolds lush notes of figs, ripe bananas, vanilla and oak.
