Description
Over 40,000 barrels from more than 90 different Scottish distilleries: This outstanding wooden treasure is the trademark of Murray McDavid. The independent bottler was founded in 1994 by industry greats such as Mark Reynier and quickly made a name for itself with maturation in the exquisite barrels. Since 2013, Edward Odim and Dean Jode (Aceo Ltd) have successfully breathed new life into Murray McDavid.
The house's bottlings appear in seven different series. Connoisseurs can find styles and flavors created through the art of blending at The Vatting. For the mysterious Peatside 6 yo, for example, Murray McDavid combined single malts from unexpected origins. The blended malt Scotch whisky owes its velvety yet hearty character with strong berry, spice and bacon notes to maturation in American oak and refinement in port and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
