Tasting Notes
Nose: Full-bodied and soft. Peaty, marine notes, fruity (candied lemon), spicy (ginger), floral.
Palate: Robust and powerful. Peaty, fruity (melon, kiwi) and salty.
Finish: Long and silky. Fruity (pear, mirabelle plum, plum, ripe apple), aromatic (coriander, dill), salty and smoky.
Description
The Yoichi Single Malt is produced using traditional methods such as distillation in directly coal-fired pot stills. This perfectly captures the authentic character of its coastal location on the island of Hokkaido in northern Japan. A balanced whisky with a fine peat profile and sea aromas.
