The new Minke Sloe Gin is based on the original Minke Gin, distilled by hand from whey and with strong citrus influences. To do this, the distillery soaked sloe berries in the Minke Gin for several months. The sloe infusion not only gave the Minke Sloe Gin its strikingly dark, plum-like color, but also a completely new flavor profile. The accessible alcohol content of 36.8% also contributes to this. Just like the original Minke Gin, the Minke Sloe Gin is released without any outer packaging. The Clonakilty Distillery recently eliminated this. An important contribution by the distillery to avoiding packaging waste.
