Killowen Distillery , one of Ireland's smallest distilleries, is located in the heart of the Mourne Mountains in the south of County Downs in Northern Ireland. One of the distillery's products is Killowen Poitin. For this Poitin, Killowen has incorporated the local history of the area. For the mash, they used an original Poitin recipe from a local family who have produced Poitin in this way for generations, although not always legally.

They have carefully selected a unique ratio of wheat, barley and oats to create a unique drink. The Poitin is bottled at 48% in a minimalist 500 ml bottle.
