Killowen Distillery , the smallest distillery in Ireland, is located in the heart of the Mourne Mountains in the south of County Downs in Northern Ireland. Brendan Carty, the owner of the distillery, wanted to realize his vision here. He is a trained architect and designed the distillery himself.

Looking seaward from the Killowen Distillery into the maritime Highlands you can see Carlingford Lough. Carlingford Lought has several trading ports that have brought many ships to the shores daily for the last century. It inspired the distillery to make a Navy Strength Gin. A gin that captures the highland and maritime botanicals and offers a firework of flavours.
