Killowen Distillery , the small distillery, is located in the heart of the Mourne Mountains in the south of County Downs in Northern Ireland. Brendan Carty, the owner of the distillery, wanted to realize his vision here. He is a trained architect and designed the distillery himself.

First, the gin was distilled with local botanicals. After distillation, the gin was infused with blackberries, rosemary and orange. A combination that seems very unusual at first glance, but the combination of fruit and herbal notes goes together perfectly.

As a gin and tonic, the gin works wonderfully with an Indian tonic.
