Description
The Kanosuke Distillery is located on Fukiagehama, one of the longest sandy beaches in Japan - and an ideal place for picturesque sunsets. A golden evening sun now shines on connoisseurs from the label of the first standard bottling. With its Kanosuke Single Malt, the young distillery takes you to the heart of its production process.
The longed-for whisky is distilled using three individual pot stills. Each one has a different shape of neck and angle of lyne arm, providing great depth and an extremely soft texture. Characteristics that the coastal distillery underlines through rare and intensive maturation: The Kanosuke Single Malt matures in American Oak Casks that were pre-filled with the celebrated "Mellowed Kozuru" Shochu, the parent company's traditional Japanese brandy.
Result? A smooth, exotic experience that moves from caramel, banana and tea with lemon to honey quince candy, cinnamon, ginger and a hint of smoked nuts, slowly fading out with a subtle bitterness and sweetness.
