With an ester content of 40-80 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol, the lush Habitation Velier Hampden falls into the category of Outram Wormald Hussey (OWH) rums, which still have one of the lowest ester contents of the iconic distillery. The worthy representative of the "funky" rums from Jamaica expresses exotic, empyreumatic notes in a stylish manner.

Under the name Habitation Velier, Velier exclusively assembles pure single rums: they come from a single distillery, are distilled there in pot stills and are the equivalent of the Scottish single malt category.
