The Green Spot in its current form is a living legend from old Ireland: whiskey history in liquid form. A fruity single pot still whiskey for connoisseurs of the rare. A rarity even in Ireland, which is not surprising when you know that only around 26,000 bottles are bottled each year. The Green Spot is made from 7-10 year old whiskey from Midleton. Almost a quarter of it is stored in refill sherry casks. Like the Redbreast, a pure Irish single pot still whiskey. This is the younger and gentler brother of the Redreast 12 years, lighter and fruitier in taste than the latter and smoother and not as rustic and robust as the Redbreast due to the higher proportion of bourbon casks.
