Description
Harz meets Pyrenees: Elsburn from rare Rivesaltes Casks
A total of only 1,484 bottles capture a special union: In ElsBurn Rivesaltes Casks, regional whisky from the southern Harz region meets rare barrels from the Pyrenees.
Rivesaltes is a protected wine-growing region in the south of France. Between the Mediterranean and the mountain range, the wine produced here is primarily liqueur wine. The fermentation of this "Vin Doux Naturel" is stopped by adding alcohol to preserve its residual sweetness.
Full-bodied and sweet, the strong wine in the Hercynian Single Malt leaves delicious traces of grape must and quince jelly, which combine with malt, oak tones as well as caramel and nougat.
