Description

Over half a century of company history, the Darroze house has built a unique collection of Armagnacs. With treasures from a variety of terroirs, this collection sets standards for the industry. The distillates from the heartland of Bas-Armagnac usually reach Darroze either via mobile distilleries or already aged in barrels. In the house's own cellars, the often rare, generation-old barrels or brandies from small producers are perfected.

The Domaine du Pin 1985/2025 had a proud 40 years to mature. This single cask was produced in 1985 by Monique Destribats in the picturesque village of Labastide d'Armagnac, situated on sandy soils. Consisting of half Baco and half Colombard grapes, this rare wine was continuously distilled to 60% and bottled in January 2025 at a still-cask strength of 40%.

Its beautiful amber color with mahogany and gold nuances leads to remarkably delicate aromas. Candied orange peel, nougat, and gingerbread meet acacia honey, licorice, vanilla, and fresh tobacco. The palate impresses with great balance, a velvety mouthfeel, and a freshness that defies the long aging.
