With Blackwater Dirtgrain Irish Whisky, a revolution is just around the corner! Not only is the first self-distilled release from the Blackwater Distillery spelled without the famous "E", but the set of four (4 x 200 ml) consists of very unique interpretations of Irish pot still whiskey. With the combination of grains such as barley, oats, rye and wheat, the distillery owned by Peter Mulryan is based on historical recipes from the early 20th and 19th centuries. In doing so, it takes up what pot still whiskey was historically and is no longer today. At the same time, it gives the bottlings a modern interpretation. Their goal behind this: to completely renew our entrenched understanding of pot still whiskey with Dirtgrain Irish Whisky.
