Cruzloma London Dry Gin (Ecuador)
Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 44% | Non-chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
The sonorous name Cruzloma (in English: mountain peak cross) is shared in Ecuador by a mountain peak in the volcanic mountains near the capital Quito, a great battle for the independence of the South American country on that very mountain – and a stylish London Dry Gin for urban connoisseurs.
Just north of the Ecuadorian capital of Quito, directly on the equator, Cruzloma is distilled by hand in a 200-liter pot still. This exotic craft London Dry Gin complements its dominant juniper core with botanicals from Europe, Asia, and the Amazon region of Ecuador. These include leaves of the Guayusa plant from the rainforest and coca leaves from the Andes, which have been chewed by locals since ancient times.
The regional ingredients are fermented in a sugar cane distillate along with 12 other botanicals. After distillation, Cruzloma is adjusted to an aromatic 44% ABV with volcanic water, which lends its citrus-forward profile a punch in cocktails.
