Bumbu Rum XO
Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 40% | Non-chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
Sailors and traders of the 16th and 17th centuries refined their rum with fruits and spices – and called it Bumbu. The brand of the same name is based on this Caribbean legend. Bumbu is produced at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, which was founded in 1893. It is made from sugarcane from local, sustainable farms in eight of the world's best sugarcane-producing countries: Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guyana, and Honduras.
Connoisseurs reach for Bumbu XO. Designed for neat consumption, it matures for up to 18 years in bourbon barrels and is then aged in Oloroso sherry casks. Orange peel and peppery spices blend with a hint of coffee. The rum is distilled and aged in Panama.
