We have a new, extremely flavorful single cask from the Blackwater Distillery available for you in very limited quantities in the shop. It is extremely experimental: Blackwater Stardust Spicebag is a smoky Irish peated rye whiskey with 55% rye content. Added to this are malted barley, oats and peat-malted barley. The whiskey, distilled in June 2020, spent its storage time in a Tempranillo wine barrel. The oats skilfully soften the hearty spiciness of the dominant rye influence. Added to this are aromatic plum notes from the Spanish wine barrel. The whole thing is underpinned by the gentle smoky notes of the peated malt. The single cask yielded 400 bottles with 50% ABV.
