On July 31, 1970, an ancient tradition in the Royal British Navy came to an end: At 11 a.m., six bells rang to signal the end of the morning watch on the ships of the British Royal Navy and six glasses of rum were served for the last time. The day will always be remembered as Black Tot Day.

This is the Navy's last rum stocks, bottled after nearly 40 years as a "Last Consignment." It is a piece of maritime history that began in 1635.
