Description

Bertha's Revenge Navy Strength Irish Milk Gin ,Gin, 57.1% Vol.,

Bertha's Revenge Gin, a gin whose base alcohol is whey, is a gin from County Cork. The idea for the gin was born in London when the founders Justin and Andrew sat down with the master distiller of the Thames Distillery and he told them that whey is a possible alcohol base and that this was invented in Ireland. The two of them started to learn everything about gin and distill. At first they distilled in small 1 litre batches until they had developed the final recipe. On April 27, 2015 with batch number 19, Bertha was born.

When it came to finding a name for the gin, they wanted a name that was expressive and showed what they were trying to achieve. The fact that Ballyvolane is a dairy farm, alcohol from whey is used in the gin and a unique character was needed, gave rise to Bertha. To honour her memory, we have literally brought her back.

But why does Bertha seek revenge? It is not meant to be malicious or harmful, quite the opposite. Her life in spirit is full of friends and just Bertha time.

Now it was time for Bertha Navy Strength Gin. The basic recipe of Bertha Gin was changed slightly to bring out one or two more flavors. This gives Bertha Navy Strength a little more spice, but it is still balanced.
