Ballyhoo is a 4-year-old single grain whiskey that was matured in port wine barrels from Portugal. The maturation in a port wine barrel gives the whiskey a beautiful color and a dark fruity note. The grain whiskey was made from 93% corn and 7% malted barley. It is not colored, not chill-filtered and was bottled at 43%.

Ballyhoo Whiskey is a whiskey that is great for drinking with friends in a relaxed atmosphere. It is the only single grain whiskey in Ireland that has been matured in a Red Twany port wine cask. It was allowed to stay in this cask for 12 weeks. This is exactly the right amount of time to give the whiskey a lovely port wine influence, but the sweetness of the grain is not lost.
