Velier is known in the rum scene as a pioneer for authentic experiences.
Papalin is a project dedicated exclusively to rum blends. To ensure the greatest possible authenticity, the blends are created from various pot stills in close collaboration with local producers and mature tropically in the warehouses of the participating distilleries.
Now the range returns with two five-year-old Jamaican high-ester rums. The Papalin 5 yo - 47% vol. is a smooth experience that combines vanilla and lemon with herbal notes, while pineapple, banana and a hint of liquorice add depth. The overproof version, the Papalin 5 yo - 57% vol., is lush and strong. Medicinal notes meet roasted pineapple, fresh herbs, ginger and rich notes of rice.
Both qualities were blended from three types of rum: Rum from Worthy Park (WPL-Marque) with an ester content of 60 to 120 g/hlpa, Long Pond Rum (STCE-Marque) with an ester content of 550 to 700 g/hlpa and Rum from Hampden Estate (C<>H-Marque) with an ester content of 1,300 to 1,400 g/hlpa.
