Finding premium casks of Scottish whisky has always been the focus of Elixir Distillers. Since 2002, the independent bottler has been releasing these under the name The Single Malts of Scotland. The range consists of outstanding, unadulterated vintage malts from all Scottish whisky regions. Four single cask bottlings from the series are now being released exclusively for Kirsch Import customers.
Only about two percent of single malts from this distillery are marketed as such: The Dailuaine 2012/2024 is a rare example of the heavy, sweet and spicy whiskies from Speyside. If you want to explore more typical characteristics of the region, the fruity, light and smooth Tormore 2005/2024 is the right choice.
Peat lovers will find what they are looking for with two island single casks – in the case of the An Orkney Distillery 2012/2024 in combination with fleshy umami, honey and heather or combined with creamy citrus and sea notes in the case of the Caol Ila 2011/2024.
