Description
Single casks from Islay to “lost distillery”:
Rare gifts from The Single Malts of Scotland
Tracking down premium casks of Scottish whisky has always been the focus of Elixir Distillers. Since 2002, the independent bottler has been releasing them under the name The Single Malts of Scotland.
Located in a secluded bay in the north of the island, the Bunnahabhain Distillery produces (mostly) unpeated Islay single malt - like the Bunnahabhain 2009/2022. The maritime single cask was bottled from one butt in a total of 498 bottles.
The Director's Special series is part of the range of outstanding, unadulterated vintage single malts. Its trademark? The barrels are personally selected by Sukhinder Singh, the head of Elixir Distillers and one of the most renowned whisky traders in the world.
The range of hand-picked rarities is now growing with the Imperial 34 yo, a rare find from the “lost distillery” that was largely demolished in 2013.
