Teerenpeli Akte 11 yo Amarone Cask Trilogy Part 3
Volume: 0.5 liters | Alcohol content: 54.9% | Non-chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
Lahti, Finland, is not only the host of the World Ski Championships, but also home to Finland's first and largest whisky distillery: Teerenpeli. For over 20 years, the family-run business has been producing smooth, authentic Finnish single malts.
Their ingredients? Regional, partially peated barley malt, the extremely pure Salpausselkä groundwater, and two traditional Forsyths pot stills powered by renewable energy. The whiskies mature in converted shipping containers. Exposure to the extreme elements allows them to develop a striking complexity.
The latest example: Teerenpeli Akte. This single malt concludes the Amarone Cask Trilogy and, at eleven years old, is also the oldest bottling in the series. After a decade in bourbon casks, it was given a 13-month finish in casks previously filled with the top Italian wine Amarone. You can taste it: At a powerful 54.9% ABV, the whisky dedicated to the water god Akte combines notes of blackberry and fudge with tannins, leather, and pepper.
