Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 57.1% | Non-chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
Ardbeg prides itself on being the ultimate Islay malt whisky. Founded in 1815, Ardbeg is revered by connoisseurs around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, and most complex of all Islay whiskies. The island distillery feared for its survival in the 1980s and 1990s. Only since its acquisition by the Glenmorangie Company in 1997 has the distillery risen like a phoenix from the ashes—and today enjoys cult status.
Named after Europe's largest ocean whirlpool, Ardbeg Corryvreckan matures partly in new French oak barrels, imbuing it with spicy heat and sweet fruit notes.
