Description
Macallan has been the flagship of Scottish Speyside since its official foundation in 1824. The cult distillery's high-quality single malt whiskies are based on special production and processing methods - such as what are probably the smallest copper stills in the region. They give the raw spirit its characteristic aroma. However, only 16 percent of this is filled into barrels. Because: Only the finest "cut" is used at Macallan. Under the supervision of the "Master of Wood", each individual barrel is selected by hand.
