Description
Velvety sweetness from special malts:
Ambir is Holyrood's single-malt dessert
Edinburgh's Holyrood Distillery draws on the rich brewing heritage of its home city to create complex whiskies. To create the range of flavors in its traditionally produced single malts, the craft distillery relies on the same ingredients as the infinitely diverse beer category: a wide variety of malts and yeasts.
Seven sweet (special) malts and ten fruity yeasts form the flavor foundation of the latest Ambir bottling. Named after the Scottish word for amber, the pure and luscious Ambir is the whisky of choice for all those with a sweet tooth. Caramel, fudge, red fruits and vanilla characterize the character of the dessert malt. It is rounded off in bourbon and a small proportion of sherry casks.
