The single pot still whiskey bottled by the Skellig Six18 Distillery was first stored in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in PX sherry casks. There is another little twist: a small part of the whiskey was also placed in an ex-peated cask as a bonus. This gave the whiskey additional bitter, spicy notes.

This special bottling is actually only available in the distillery, but we were able to get a few bottles for Germany. The cask strength bottling brings out the herbal, spicy notes even better and gives the bottling an unmistakable taste.
