Inspired by the Minke whales, majestic creatures native to the Atlantic coast. This very same Atlantic coast is also home to the unique botanical that gives Minke Gin its unique flavor profile.
Rock Samphire, sea fennel, is harvested by hand by the Scully family on the coast and only during the season. It is time-consuming, but the effort is worth it! It gives the gin a special aroma and blends wonderfully with the other selected botanicals. Citrus, aniseed and a certain lightness provide a fresh, mild and sophisticated refreshment.
The alcohol base of Minke Gin is whey. This is produced on the family's own farm. The whey gives the gin a velvety texture and a nice mouthfeel.
