Micil Earls Island Single Pot Still Whiskey 0.7 l
Micil Earls Island , Single Pot Still Whiskey, Vol.: 46%,
In 2016, Pádraic Ó'Griallas opened the first distillery in Galway in 100 years, after his great-great-great-grandfather built the family's first illegal distillery in Connemara. Micil Mac Chearra is also the namesake of today's Micil Distillery. They are now bringing the first two whiskeys onto the market. This is still purchased whiskey, but their own whiskey production has already started.
Earl's Island is a fruity, spicy pot still Irish whiskey: 75.5% of the whiskey is a triple-distilled Irish pot still whiskey that was finished in 225-litre ex-Bordeaux red wine casks. The remaining 24.5% is also triple-distilled Irish pot still whiskey that was finished in 125-litre American oak quarter casks that previously held peated whiskey. This whiskey is a tribute to the earlier distilleries in Dublin and the long-established wine merchants who made the city "their city".
