JJ Corry The Gael is bottled at 46%, is not chill filtered and no colouring has been added. 1860 bottles were filled for the third batch.

The Gael is named after a bicycle invented by whiskey bonder JJ Corry in the 1890s. JJ Corry was born in the township of Cooraclare, where The Chapel Gate is now based. It was here that he bonded and blended whiskey in his shop and pub at 63 Henry Street, Kilrush from the 1890s until his death in 1932. The Chapel Gate Irish Whiskey Company is Ireland's only whiskey bonder and they currently mature their whiskey in the Rackhouse a warehouse on the McGuane Family Farm in Cooraclare, County Clare, Ireland.
