Clonakilty 12 Years Single Grain Bordeaux Cask is a delicious whiskey made from ex-bourbon casks that was left to rest for an additional two years in ex-Bordeaux casks. The maritime Atlantic air from West Cork passed through the casks and interacted with the distillate resting in them. The result is a mild single grain whiskey that skilfully plays with fruity and berry notes. Added to this are wood aromas such as vanilla and wonderful spice. The 46% alcohol by volume fits in perfectly with this and compliments the whiskey perfectly. The bottling is limited to 1,400 bottles, of which only a few are available in Germany.
