The Clan Colla 11 year old blended whiskey will completely convince you with its remarkable and complex barrel aging. Originally matured in ex-bourbon barrels, the two components malt whiskey and grain whiskey were finished in a mix of ex-oloroso barrels and peated casks. This gives the whiskey a honey sweetness and salty citrus aromas in addition to typical sherry notes.
The Ahascragh Distillery is one of the new distilleries on the Emerald Isle. The couple Gareth and Michelle McAllister converted a disused 19th century grain mill in the east of Galway into a climate-neutral distillery that runs on 100% renewable energy sources.
