Black's Golden Rum is the first rum produced in Ireland. Sam Black, the owner of the distillery, is a passionate rum drinker. He had the vision of producing Ireland's first rum and he succeeded. For the production, molasses from Guatemala was fermented, distilled and matured in barrels in Kinsale. The Golden Rum was then matured again in bourbon barrels in which a single malt whiskey had previously matured. This rum won a gold medal at the World Rum Awards 2020.
