Exclusively for Germany and the UK, this includes a connoisseur's bottling from the Exceptional Cask Series, selected by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod. The Aberfeldy 21 yo is indeed exceptional: the single malt was refined for more than three years in a former red wine barrel from Pauillac. As one of the most sought-after wine regions in Bordeaux, Pauillac produces red wines whose style is textbook: with remarkable aromas of cassis, blackberries, tobacco, cigar box, spices, earth, cedar wood and strong tannins.
The fine wood and the Highland single malt create a complex and lively dram. Its notes of red berries and blackberries are complemented by undertones of warming nutty and herbal spice.
Description
Why is the Aberfeldy Distillery located in the middle of the picturesque Highlands of Perthshire? A special water source was a strong argument for the founders Tommy and John Alexander Dewar. Near the distillery, a small river flows into the Tay, which is not only known for its outstanding water quality, but also for its (at least legendary) gold deposits. Aberfeldy Whisky? The Golden Dram! This is clearly expressed by the attractive black and gold bottle.Exclusively for Germany and the UK, this includes a connoisseur's bottling from the Exceptional Cask Series, selected by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod.
