Tasting Notes

The dark mahogany color is visually evident from the long maturation in sherry casks. The aroma of dried fruit and a pronounced sherry note also leaves no doubt on the nose. A hint of wood polish and candied fruit combines with an intense note of orange oil. Finally, a touch of clove, nutmeg, and allspice before fading into a subtle menthol note. The wood influence immediately emerges in the mouth, with hints of autumnal berries: blackberry, black and red currant, and cranberry. Candied ginger emerges, while notes of dark chocolate lend the whole a complex character, with a hint of aniseed at the end. The finish is very balanced with fruit and oak; nutty notes underline the light but lingering tobacco aromas.
