Tasting Notes
The dark mahogany color is already visually evident from the long maturation in the sherry cask. The aroma of dried fruit and a pronounced sherry note leave no doubt in the nose either. There is also a hint of wood polish and candied fruit in combination with an intense note of orange oil. At the end, a little clove, nutmeg and allspice before everything fades with a subtle menthol note. In the mouth, the wood influence immediately comes through with hints of autumn berries: blackberry, black & red currant, cranberry. Candied ginger comes to the fore while notes of dark chocolate give the whole thing a complex character - at the end, a little anise. The finish is very balanced with fruit and oak; nutty notes underline the light but persistent tobacco aromas.
