Thin Gin - Irish Dry Gin , Gin, 40% Vol.,

Barely on the market, it has already been voted the best Irish gin of 2015 at the Irish Whiskey Awards. A dry gin that impresses with orange and citrus notes in the foreground. A delicious, fresh gin that embeds the juniper in the citrus notes very well.

The gin was named after an American, Isaac Thin, who lived in Waterford for a long time and was a good friend of Nichola's (founder of the AnchorBlackwater Spirits Company) great grandmother. Thin Gin is a fruity and fragrant gin that is fun and particularly appealing to the unconventional "bad boys and girls". When Isaac Thin could not find anywhere the exquisite gin he enjoyed in Paris during an afternoon tete-a-tete with the wife of an Austrian count, he decided to create his own. Hiding in Ireland from some vengeful husbands who bore him a grudge against his amorous adventures, he conducted his experiments there using juniper, coriander, citrus peel and Irish shrub fruits. He settled on thirteen botanicals, one for each woman he had a fling with during his brief stay in Europe.

A well-rounded gin that is very tasty. It is an Irish dry gin that has been distilled with various botanicals. A total of 13 different botanicals were used, including: apple, tansy, thyme, mugwort, elderflower, hawthorn blossom, orange blossom, lemon balm, lime, red clover and white clover.

The gin can be drunk with or without ice and it also goes well in tonic water.
