Tracking down premium casks of Scottish whisky has always been the focus of Elixir Distillers. Since 2002, the independent bottler has been releasing these under the name The Single Malts of Scotland. The range consists of outstanding, unadulterated vintage malts from all Scottish whisky regions . In the A Marriage of Casks series, qualities and rarities that have matured over many years are combined to create unique whiskies in limited editions .

These include the "mystery malt" An Islay Distillery 30 yo. The single malt from one of the celebrated island distilleries matured for an impressive three decades in just two barrels and one butt. At 47.5% ABV, it is strong despite its great age . The wonderful "old school" Islay malt balances the typical notes of peat, coast, campfire smoke and iodine with a luscious sweetness of tropical fruits and caramel .
