Wolfburn No 318

Batch 318 is the sixth edition of the "Small Batch Release" series and consists of lightly peated whisky that matured in Sherry Oloroso and Bourbon casks. In keeping with Wolfburn's style, they deliberately did not want to create a so-called "sherry bomb". The half sherry/bourbon portion results in a spicy but finely dosed sherry sweetness that is underpinned by a little smoke.

Fruity aroma of figs and apricots. Gentle tones of peat smoke. On the palate, honey-infused porridge, gently mixed with spices such as cinnamon and ginger, all overlaid with sherry sweetness. Dried fruits with a hint of caramel and a hint of long-lasting peat smoke in the aftertaste
