Tullamore Dew is the world's leading Irish whiskey. It is known for its mild and smooth aroma. After the whiskey matured in bourbon and sherry barrels, it was then matured again in cider barrels. This gives the whiskey a fine apple sweetness. The whiskey is only produced in limited quantities, once a year during the Irish apple harvest. The pressed apple juice is poured into bourbon barrels, gives off its sweetness to the barrels, and then the whiskey is filled into these barrels for 4 months.
