Spike Island Rum is a spiced rum from Ireland. The rum was traditionally distilled in Barbados, but it was refined by hand in Ireland. The rum reflects Spike Island, a small island off the Bay of Cork, which was originally a monastery, then became a military fort and was later used as a prison and reformatory. Over the centuries, saints, criminals and villains have met here. The following spices were used for the rum: nutmeg, orange peel, cloves, vanilla, star anise, allspice and a few other secret ingredients.

The rum is best served neat or with a try tonic on ice.
