Description

The sugar cane paradise of La Réunion is home to the Savanna distillery. Where the tall sweet grass thrives on fertile soil, the distillery has been hand-crafting it into authentic rum varieties since 1870. In the form of freshly pressed juice and molasses - a rarity for distilleries in the French overseas departments.

Savanna single casks are also rare. Over a year after the premiere, we have now secured a new single cask bottling exclusively for the German market. With the Savanna 10 yo Cognac Cask, one of the finest rums from the distillery's cellars is finding its way to connoisseurs. Distilled from molasses in the C20 column still, it matured for a full decade in the climate of the tropical island. Finally, 640 cask-strength bottles were filled from the French oak barrel.
