Ron Canuto Ecuador Rum 7 yo
Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 40% | Not chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
The Paute Valley is situated in a picturesque landscape at around 2,000 metres above sea level. The rums of one of Ecuador's oldest distilleries, Destilería Zhumir, mature here in the subtropical climate.
Their Ron Canuto is based on molasses from the sugar cane plantations of the southern highlands. After distillation in the region's traditional column still, the rum matures in barrels made of American white oak.
The Ron Canuto 7 yo is an affordable bestseller for uncomplicated moments of enjoyment. It combines rums from American oak that are at least 7 years old. Masterfully blended, the blend is stored in barrels for a further one to two months before bottling.
Ron Canuto is produced in small batches, hand-numbered and hand-signed by the master distiller. At an accessible 40% ABV, it is balanced and sweet, with delicate notes of vanilla, caramel and berries.
