In 1942, at the age of 17, Don Julio Gonzáles began producing his tequila. Since then, his name has been synonymous with luxury tequila. The blue agave plants used grow in the highlands of Los Altos. Don Julio Tequila is double distilled and then aged in small batches in American white oak barrels.

Don Julio Añejo Tequila is a proud expression of the art of producing a mature tequila of outstanding flavor. Full-bodied and complex, after 18 months of ageing, it creates a perfect harmony of agave, wood, and a hint of vanilla. The multi-award-winning Don Julio Blanco is Mexico's best-selling ultra-premium tequila and is characterized by a fresh agave flavor and a hint of citrus. Don Julio Tequila Reposado, after eight months in barrels, offers a mild, elegant flavor with a full-bodied, smooth finish that is perfect both neat and in cocktails.

Don Julio 1942 is a purely handcrafted luxury tequila. Aged for at least two and a half years, it is exceptionally smooth and, with its complex aromas, equally at home in exclusive bars and among connoisseurs. The portfolio also includes the world's first clear añejo tequila: Don Julio 70 Cristalino Añejo, which combines the smoothness of a blanco with the complexity of an añejo.
