Cruzloma London Dry Gin (Ecuador)
Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 44% | Not chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
In Ecuador, the sonorous name Cruzloma (in English: mountain summit cross) is shared by a mountain peak in the volcanic mountains near the capital Quito, a great battle for the independence of the South American country on that very mountain - and a stylish London Dry Gin for urban connoisseurs.
Just north of the Ecuadorian capital Quito, right on the equator, Cruzloma is distilled by hand in a pot still with a capacity of just 200 liters. The exotic craft London Dry Gin complements its dominant juniper core with botanicals from Europe, Asia - and the Amazon region in Ecuador. These include leaves of the Guayusa plant from the rainforest or coca leaves from the Andes, which have been chewed by locals since time immemorial.
The regional ingredients are fermented in a sugar cane distillate together with 12 other botanicals. After distillation, Cruzloma is adjusted to an aromatic 44% ABV with volcanic water, which gives its citrus-heavy profile assertiveness in cocktails.
